Decolonize-Journal is a student driven project that strives to give a voice to marginalised people that often get ignored in academia. Here, students can submit research: essays, news articles and thesis papers to critically analyse and reflect decolonial topics. 

Our mission statement is to combat the elitarian "discourse culture" in academia and journalism that gatekeeps writing on social or geopolitical issues by installing rigid guidelines on what gets published and who gets to write it. Our goal is to expand on the current discourse around decolonial issues through a rejection of rigid guidelines and analitical frameworks. We believe this will enhance the discourse by injecting emotion, radical empathy and understanding and free-flow writing styles.
